The farm "Rape" [Italian for "beet"] was first hired by Angelo Manna in 1955 and eventually bought in 1965. The operation then went on to Giuseppe Manna, who, being a passionate farmer, cultivated the 20 acres of the farm "Rape". The name comes from the old feud which was the last owned by the barons of the Giaconia di Mistretta family. The old feud originally comprised about 400 acres. The farm house represents the current headquarters of the operation and has a characteristic charm as it was built from the traditional Mistretta stone.
The cultivation of broad beans follows the typical crop rotation system.
In 2002, the black lentil was rediscovered, which is typical for the Enna region and which almost was forgotten.
Since 2001 Giuseppe Manna is assisted by his son Angelo, who now runs the company. Agrirape cultivates mainly regional products and conserves the traditions of the area.
