Dark ruby red, the nose has intense hints of blackberry jam and dried plum, spicy notes of star anise and black pepper, with toasted hints of hazelnut and almond; close tobacco, vanilla and chocolate, in a balsamic background of eucalyptus. The taste is smooth, with tapered tannins and great structure, especially for the important but not intrusive alcoholic note, reaching the very long finish of cinchona and dark spices.

With important meat dishes such as stewed wild boar, it is excellent with polenta and venison sauce.
