"Poderi del Parco" is an extra virgin olive oil produced by the Azienda Agricola Mureddu Aru (from the name of the precursors Raffaele Mureddu and Anna Rita Aru) obtained from the mechanical pressing of olives coming for 100% from the olive grove cultivated in the farms adjacent to the protected area of the Regional Natural Park of Porto Conte in loc. Bantine Sale, municipality of Alghero, dominated by the Spanish tower of the same name dating from the seventeenth century, and the remains of ancient nuraghi, testifying to the presence of man in these places since time immemorial, in a territorial context characterized by a diverse biodiversity of animal and plant species that live together in a delicate balance as a result of the action of wind, sun and sea.
The visitor who enters this territory is not difficult to come across groups of timorous and elusive wild boars with offspring in tow, elegant deer grazing, or moving the eyes towards the sky to see the disturbing figure of the griffon vulture in flight, or the multiplicity of plant species including holm oak, myrtle, mastic, juniper, helichrysum, bramble, heather and viscous inula whose flowers attract and inactivate the oil fly.
The olive grove is just a few meters from the sea of Porto Ferro, which in 2016-2017-2018 has obtained the international recognition of Blue Flag, made impetuous by the mistral wind that deposits the salt on the land giving a peculiar flavor to 'oil.

With the collaboration of "Agris" (Regional Agency for Research in Agriculture and the preservation of bio diversity in Sardinia), in 2007 were planted seedlings of wild olive trees from certified nurseries of Sardinia, on which was grafted the olive variety Bosana gentile, which gives an oil with a persistent taste decidedly bitter and spicy, with hints of artichoke and a small part Semidana, which is characterized by an oil from the intense fruity and balanced taste averagely bitter and spicy.
The olives are harvested when they are mostly still green, manually or with the help of ecological harvesters with rechargeable batteries from renewable sources, then they are brought to the mill within 12 hours, cold pressed and the oil stored in stainless steel containers, followed by decanting and decanting according to a predefined chronology, filtration, analysis and bottling. Azienda Agricola Mureddu Aru, which has been operating for decades in an environmentally sustainable way, adhered in May 2018 to the specification of the "organic production method".
Poderi del Parco is an extra virgin olive oil, with a peculiar flavor that binds it inextricably to this territory, rich in polyphenols and with a low acidity, certified by chemical and sensory analysis, through panel testing and is characterized by a fruity and spicy flavor, but also delicate and persistent with important notes of artichoke, fresh almond and tomato.
