The new crop of red garlic of Nubia is now available.
The garlic is still cultivated today in the traditional way and harvested by hand.
The garlic is harvested from May to June and allowed to dry, to be eaten throughout the year.
A district of Trapani is called Nubia. Here garlic is "holy" and it is cultivated with the greatest care.
It is known in Italy and abroad for its crimson color of the shell and above all for its above-average content of allicin.
