The Cantina 1701 team describes itself as follows
"Making quality wines that are both innovative and traditional is the goal we set ourselves from the very beginning, in 2011, when we bought the winery from the Conti Bettoni Cazzago family. The Cantina's name, 1701, is due precisely to the first vintage of a wine produced from the 'Brolo': an evocative walled domestic vineyard dating back to the 11th century. History repeats itself, because today from that same vineyard - in the splendid setting of Palazzo Bettoni - we obtain an extraordinary Blanc de Noirs.
OURS IS A STORY OF LAND AND PEOPLE, UNITED BY IDEALS, PASSIONS AND EMOTIONS.
Like the rediscovery of nature, the love for agriculture, the biodynamic choice as an approach to the land and life in general, the understanding and appreciation of what a territory can express through the exaltation of its biodiversity.
A RENEWED, ALL-EMBRACING CONNECTION WITH NATURE HAS LED US TO ABOLISH THE USE OF SYNTHETIC FERTILISERS AND CHEMICAL PESTICIDES.
We have decided to adhere to a healthy, environmentally friendly agriculture that improves and enriches the soils in which it is applied. And above all, that gives a natural wine with a unique taste.
